Owners of a rat-breeding business were
ordered to clean up their act or face animal abuse
charges after officials found more than 20,000 rodents
living in squalid conditions. Hundreds of dead, sick or
injured rats were discovered when animal control
officers raided Rats R Us. It sells live and frozen rats
to pet stores and zoos."

First of all : Rats R Us?

Second: Apparently in California it is cruel if you let
a rat get sick or live in squalid conditions, but it is
NOT cruel to freeze them or feed them alive to some
snake or iguana or something. Is living in a squalid
house in Encinitas worse than being slowly digested
alive? Ha ha ha ha ha! That sounds like a debate team
topic! And what exactly constitutes squalid conditions
for a rat? We have rats in Chicago and they live in the
sewers and eat garbage. And other dead rats! It sounds
to me like that house in Encinitas might have been some
sort of rat haven. Except for the freezing and being
eaten alive part.

Third: Why did these people need a court order telling
them not to leave dead rats lying around?
