I know I’ve already written a review of Blow Out on Bravo, but I hate Jonathan Antin so much that it can’t be confined to just one article. The new season of the show, which I advise you never to watch, has just started and I’m absolutely blown away.

          Now the whiney annoying stylist is set to create a hair product line and giving him this authority only swells his head to galactic proportions. For example, he brings in some specialists to help him with branding and graphics for his new product and viewers get to watch a pissing contest between the headstrong Antin and the high-on-himself head of the trendy branding company. This is so annoying and aggravating that it ceases to be entertainment and just makes you want to bang your head against a wall. Every scene is like nails on a chalkboard, not unbearable but just irritating enough that you just want it to stop.

          They clearly tried to salvage the show by showing the bevy of new “celebrity” clients the salon has acquired. In actuality, none of these “celebrities” come to the salon for that “world class Jonathan haircut” but for the free publicity of being on a reality show. Besides, the entire basis for having celebrities at all is only so Antin can describe just how awesome he considers himself.

          The only redeemable part of this show is some of the stuff with the other stylists, but you have to hear Antin’s annoying commentary over everything! I just can’t stand it! I can’t stand it! This show is what’s wrong with reality TV, California, and America in general!
